Competition Deadlines 2021 -2022 (Note: This is a 'draft' version and may be subject to change)
Shown below are the dates by which your entries for various competitions need to be submitted to the Internal Competition Secretary. Any entries submitted after these dates will be deemed 'invalid' and not forwarded for critique / scoring by the appropriate Judge.

PDI Competition : Up to 4 Images, Open.
17th October 2021:
PDI Competition: Up to 4 images, 3 X Open, 1 X Themed (Dominant Colour). Images must be received by 12:00 midnight.
Midnight Sunday 14th November 2021:
Critique Evening: Up to 4 images, open
28th November 2021:
Deadline for members wishing to submit images for the Annual Critique Evening with East Sutherland Camera Club. 3 X images (Open) maximum per member, not all images may be used.
2nd December 2021:
PDI Competition: Up to 4 images, Open

6th January 2022:
Thinking in Sixes : 6 X images, open, must tell a story in a sequence of six images including an opening and closing shot.
3rd February 2022:
PDI Competition: Two only are required images, 1 X Open and 1 X Themed - An image made within a circular frame, no part of the enclosing circle should touch the borders of any rectangular or square frame that may be used. You will also need to submit a short 'statement of intent' for each image. Further guidance will be issued to members via email.
17th April 2022:
PDI Competition: Up to 4 images, Open
15th May 2022:
PDI Competition: Up to 4 images, 4 X Themed (memes) - To be Judged 'In House' by the membership. A meme in this context will consist of a combination of image and text - the text can be a portion of poetry, lyrics from a song, text from a novel or other book/magazine and possibly a social comment but the image used must be your own work. If you need an example for clarification then have a look at the work of Gillian Wearing - signs that say what you want them to say and not signs that say what someone else wants you to say as a useful starting point
