CPS Talking Tuesdays 7:30 p.m. with Saul Symis via Zoom

On The night That We leave by Alisa Renik and Haddon Hall by Niaomi Harris

On Tuesday evening, I will be taking a look at two contemporary photographers focusing on their most recent photo books. These are two photo books that grabbed my interest when I first looked at them and have only grown in my admiration. They are two very different pieces of work - the difference between them is literally and figuratively night and day. One is very dark and mysterious whilst the other is a bright celebration of aging.

However, Whilst there are differences we can find common themes as well.

PDI Themed Competition

PDI Competition: Up to 4 images, 4 X Themed (memes) - To be Judged 'In House' by the membership. A meme in this context will consist of a combination of image and text - the text can be a portion of poetry, lyrics from a song, text from a novel or other book/magazine and possibly a social comment but the image used must be your own work. If you need an example for clarification then have a look at the work of Gillian Wearing - signs that say what you want them to say and not signs that say what someone else wants you to say as a useful starting point
